  services offered by the Mobility Centre of the Alsace region described below.
  

Missions
The mission of the mobility centre of the Alsace region is to help foreign researchers with their arrival and stay in France, providing assistance with all the formalities and difficulties linked with their move.

Services available to foreign researchers
The mobility centre is supported by the University Louis Pasteur (see below), especially the reception office dedicated to foreign researchers. The centre assists researchers, independent of their host institution, and their family with various administrative formalities either directly whenever it can or indirectly, by referring them to persons who are specifically competent in a particular matter. Furthermore, a programme promoting the integration and offering guidance to our guests is proposed by the club "Accueil international". It was set up in order to avoid the isolation foreign researchers and their family sometimes feel and gives them a chance to share their experiences with other persons in the same situation. The Mobility Centre also proposes French lessons, for further information please contact mobility@poleuropeen.u-strasbg.fr.

The reception office dedicated to foreign researchers is affiliated to the Kastler Foundation and has, amongst other goals, that of improving conditions for receiving foreign researchers, who are increasing in numbers to complete their formations in our laboratories (Universities, CNRS, INSERM, etc...) within all fields of discipline: scientific, literary, law etc. This task, essentially assigned to taking care of post-doctorant researchers and invited associated professors focuses on a wide range of services or administrative procedures such as:

- procuring a titre de séjour (paper allowing you to stay in France for more than three months),
- registration of titres de séjour at the Préfecture for the foreign researchers and their families
- help for finding accomodation in so far as it does not replace institutional organisations qualified in this field (CROUS for example) or private organisations.
- help for problems encountered during the stay and advising towards the right service.

When your laboratory receives foreign researchers for a stay of three months or more, we suggest you contact Mrs Dominique Durand, in charge of researchers at the Guest Researchers Office, without waiting for your guest's arrival :
