Missions
The mission of the Mobility Centre of the Pôle Universités Centre Val de Loire is to support/ back up and facilitate scientific mobility in the Region Centre.
To do so, the Mobility Centre assists laboratories and staff welcoming foreigners, as well as foreign researchers. It helps foreign PhD students, post- PhD students, teachers, researchers and their family in their preparation of their stay, and their integration in the Region Centre. The Mobility Centre of the PUCVL gathers the means of the international relations offices of the Universities of Orleans and Tours/is the jointure of international relations offices of the Universities of Orleans and Tours.
Services for foreign researchers: This Mobility Centre offers tailored and personalised assistance and services for all foreign researchers coming to the Region Centre.
- Before coming, you will get information and practical assistance for the administrative formalities, visa procedure, and in finding an accommodation.
- On the day of your arrival. A welcome package with information about the region, city, and University will be offered to you. As well as assistance in a lot of different matters (housing, bank, health insurance, school for your children, information about transportation, etc.).
- During your stay. During your stay. Assistance for the administrative formalities, Cultural integration :
French classes are open for foreign researchers during all the year. Ainsi : - In Orleans, the classes are free, 2 hours a week, with 3 levels, and the possibility to pass French degrees (DELF, DALF). - In Tours, the French classes are charged, 8h a week, for all the year, a semester or a la carte.
