• services offered by the FnAK throughout France by applying for the Researcher Guest Card,
• services offered by the Mobility Centre of the Rhône-Alpes region described below, according to your location, LYON and GRENOBLE.

Missions
The mission of the centre is to assist in the preparation, the entry and all other steps of the move to France by a foreign researcher and his/her family to the Lyon area independent of the field of study.

Services available to foreign researchers
To PhD level researchers :

• Foreign researchers will benefit from a personalised assistance for all practical matters linked to their stay in France (appointments with the prefecture, the bank for their account, the head of the school for their children, the electrical company, and more)
• The Guide for Foreign Researchers, hardcopies subject to availability and on-line at http://www.lyon-sciences.prd.fr/fr/actu/international.htm
• A welcome package for foreign researchers offered by the Pôle Universitaire de Lyon (PUL)
• Assistance in finding housing.
• French classes offered through an agreement between PUL and the Alliance Française

To doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers :

• A personal contact in order to better answer all the various questions regarding daily life (residency permit, schooling for children,...) : Jocelyne Fayard

L'espace Information / Accueil Chercheur is located on the campus. It is an information and reception desk for PhD students, post Phd, teachers-researchers and researchers who are studying and working in universities, international and national research laboratories and organisms.

Practical and administrative information, advices and assistance are provided by l’Accueil chercheurs regarding matters linked to:

• administrative formalities
• housing
• schooling for children
• leisure and cultural programme
• french classes
