 En France, the postal service is carried out by a private-sector company known as "La Poste", which is represented in all cities and most villages by a post office. They are easy to recognise due to their characteristic logo : a blue, stylised bird on a yellow background.
Besides the sending and distribution of letters and parcels, La Poste also provides a number of other services, both postal and banking.
